About Us

Why We Exist

I'm Tony Perez, a veteran, a mechanic, and a lifelong grassroots racer. I built Apex Vektor for drivers who live for the next lap.

Born From Service. Shaped by Motorsports. Built for Community.

Motorsports has been a constant in my life through military service, cross-country moves, and every chapter in between. No matter where I was stationed, the track was home.

During my service, I experienced motorsports culture across the world and across the U.S., from the precision of Germany's automotive scene, to the raw energy of Los Angeles, the grassroots communities in Orlando and New York City, the passionate Midwest culture in Chicago, and the fast-growing scene in Dallas. Every city, every track, every garage taught me something about cars, about people, and about the culture that brings us all together.

Those experiences, combined with the discipline and integrity I learned in the military, shaped the foundation of Apex Vektor.

Built by a Driver Who's Lived It for 25+ Years

I've spent more than two decades racing and wrenching: quarter-mile drag nights, road course weekends, HPDE sessions, autocross mornings, and late-night garage builds. I've broken parts, fixed parts, tested setups, and learned the hard way what works and what doesn't. Apex Vektor is the result of those years of mistakes, victories, and lessons.

This isn't a corporate project. It's a lifelong passion turned into a mission.

Our Mission: Help Grassroots Drivers Build Smarter, Safer, and Faster

Apex Vektor exists for HPDE beginners and weekend warriors, NASA and SCCA competitors, autocross enthusiasts, and advanced drivers chasing consistency, the drivers who make this sport what it is.

We don't sell hype, and we don't push upgrades you don't need. Here's how we back that up:

  • We test what we can. My 2011 E90 M3 is the primary testing platform, and I'm currently building out a 2014 WRX to expand testing across EJ and FA platforms. Every install gets a write-up, including first impressions and results from actual track time.
  • We research everything else with the same discipline. I dig into forums, study what top racers and their setups reveal, and stick to reputable brands with a track record.
  • We're upfront about where we are. This testing process is still evolving, and I'm actively building it out, but every component we offer is one I'd trust on my own car.

Our mission is simple: help real drivers get real performance, without the guesswork.

Why We Don't Build Parts. We Build Confidence

Apex Vektor isn't a manufacturer. We're a guide. We curate and research components for reliability under heat, predictable handling, and real-world durability, starting with the essentials: brake pads, brake fluid, stainless steel brake lines, camber plates, oil, and longevity parts like radiators and oil pickup tubes/baffles for EJ and FA platforms.

Every part we offer has a purpose. Every recommendation has a reason.

A Veteran-Owned Business With a Long-Term Vision

Apex Vektor is certified veteran-owned through the Texas Veterans Commission and based in Midlothian, Texas. Right now, that means e-commerce first. I'm building the foundation before expanding. The long-term vision includes a physical storefront, installation services, and a community space for enthusiasts. Someday, a legacy business I can pass down to my kids.

This isn't just about selling parts. It's about building something meaningful, something that lasts.

Built for the Track Day Crowd

Whether you're prepping for your first HPDE, dialing in an autocross setup, or chasing personal bests on a road course, Apex Vektor is built to be the resource I wish I'd had starting out: honest guidance from someone who's lived the culture, from Germany to LA, Orlando, NYC, Chicago, and Dallas.
