FAQs

What is Apex Vektor?

Apex Vektor is a performance parts e-commerce store built by Tony Perez, a veteran, mechanic, and lifelong grassroots racer, for HPDE drivers, autocross competitors, and weekend warriors. We specialize in curated components and bundles designed to help drivers go faster, stay safer, and maintain balance across braking, suspension, and power systems.

We don't build parts. We help you choose the right ones.

Do you test every product you sell?

No, and we're upfront about that.

We currently test components using two in-house development vehicles: a 2011 BMW E90 M3 and a 2014 Subaru WRX (EJ255). These platforms let us validate certain brands, materials, and performance behaviors under real track conditions.

For platforms we can't physically test, we rely on proven brands with strong motorsports reputations, manufacturer engineering data, community-verified results, and 25+ years of racing and setup experience. We never claim to have tested something we haven't. If a part is listed, it's either been tested by us or thoroughly researched and vetted for the type of driving our customers do.

How do you choose what to sell?

We select components based on brand reliability, performance under heat and repeated cycles, compatibility with common track setups, and feedback from HPDE, NASA, and SCCA drivers. When we can't test a part ourselves, we choose brands that have proven themselves on similar platforms and in similar conditions.

Our goal is simple: sell only what we'd trust on our own cars.

What types of drivers is Apex Vektor built for?

First-time HPDE drivers, weekend warriors, autocross competitors, NASA and SCCA participants, and advanced drivers chasing consistency and reliability. We focus on real-world performance, not hype or unrealistic builds.

What is a "performance bundle"?

A performance bundle is a curated set of components designed to work together toward a specific goal: braking consistency, suspension balance, cooling, or reliability. Bundles are built around track day needs, autocross performance, heat management, and platform-specific weaknesses. Some are tested directly on our M3 or WRX; others are research-driven and built from brands with proven motorsports credibility.

Do you manufacture your own parts?

No. Our value comes from testing what we can, researching what we can't, and curating balanced solutions so you avoid mismatched or unsafe setups. We're here to guide, not guess.

What makes Apex Vektor different from other performance parts stores?

Three things: Honesty, we tell you what we've tested versus what we've researched, not pretend we've tested everything. Experience, over 25 years of racing, wrenching, and building track cars. Purpose, we exist to help grassroots drivers get faster and safer without wasting money on the wrong parts.

You're not just buying parts. You're buying guidance.

Can you help me choose the right parts for my goals?

Absolutely. Whether you're prepping for your first HPDE or refining a competitive setup, we can recommend parts based on your platform, experience level, driving goals, track environment, and reliability needs. We're here to help you build smart, not just build big.

What are your shipping times?

Orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Domestic U.S. orders typically arrive within 5–14 business days, depending on the product, supplier location, and your destination. Performance parts can require extra handling time due to weight, packaging, or supplier verification. You'll receive tracking information as soon as your order ships. See our full Shipping & Returns Policy for details.

Do you ship nationwide?

Yes, we ship nationwide, unless federal or state regulations restrict the sale or shipment of a specific product to your location. Any such restrictions will be noted on the product page.

What is your return or exchange policy?

We accept returns on unused, uninstalled, and unopened items within 30 days of delivery, in original packaging with all hardware included. Because we sell performance parts that affect safety and reliability, we can't accept returns on installed or test-fitted parts, used components (pads, rotors, fluids, filters), electrical items, or custom/special-order parts. Customers cover return shipping unless the item arrived damaged or incorrect. Approved refunds are issued to your original payment method, typically within 5–10 business days.

If your item arrives damaged, defective, or incorrect, contact us within 7 days of delivery with photos, and we'll work with the supplier to replace or refund it. Full details are available in our Shipping & Returns Policy.

Do you offer installation support?

For select products, we've done the install ourselves and provide guides based on that hands-on experience. For everything else, we defer to the manufacturer's installation guidance to make sure you're working from the most accurate, platform-specific instructions.

What if a part doesn't fit my platform?

We stand behind fitment the same way a manufacturer would. If a part doesn't fit as described, we'll work with you on an exchange or resolution consistent with our return and exchange policy.
